A minute of silence
for the planet.
In November 2023, the planet surpassed the 2°C limit above pre-industrial levels. By early 2024, we completed 12 consecutive months with the global average temperature increasing above 1.5°C.
These are consequences of the climate crisis, which continues to break targets established in international agreements.
Meanwhile, carbon emissions continue to rise, including from wildfires in the Amazon. The planet's greatest symbol of biodiversity is constantly threatened.
Flowers have been spreading across Antarctica as a consequence of the continent's melting.
While the Amazon becomes increasingly gray, Antarctica becomes greener. This signifies that we have reached a critical point of climate and environmental imbalance.
These flowers that should never have bloomed are a symbol of the collapse we are facing and represent condolences for the imminent loss of our dearest one: the Earth.
